Thank you for the outpour of love and support over the last few days as we navigate this new, extremely uncertain territory for our business. As COVID-19 updates are rapidly changing, we want you to know that your health and safety continue to be our top priority. We’re following all guidelines from city, state and federal channels and taking every precaution to keep our team and community safe as we keep some of our doors open.

  • No public restroom access at our Oakland Roastery location
  • Facilities and POS screens being disinfected on a frequent basis
  • Production teams required to wear gloves and masks

New updates

Effective Tuesday, March 17th, our locations at 1505 Macdonald Ave, Richmond, Oakland Public Roastery, Oakland Coffee Box, and Daily Driver  and 650 California Street, SF will be closed until further notice.

How we can support each other

  • Beautiful Coffee. We’ve waived all shipping fees for coffee and merchandise purchased directly on our website.

  • Share — people at home need coffee too. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and office managers about Red Bay Coffee and share the love. Every referral counts.

  • Staying Connected — we’ve already started sharing some of the creative energy of our Cafes directly to the people via live stream. Let’s keep enjoying our days in healthy ways.

Let’s stay healthy! Refrain from greeting others with a handshake.

Our team is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Since our humble beginning in 2014, Red Bay Coffee has served as a community hub. In bringing beautiful coffee to the people, we have an explicit commitment to care for our community. As we do our part in keeping our communities healthy, we encourage everyone to stay connected and invested in each other's well being.

We are a dedicated and experienced group of food and beverage professionals. We don’t take this matter lightly. In addition to operationalized guidance from federal, state, and local health authorities, we’re prioritizing preparation and prevention measures and proper communication and care to our internal and external communities.

For now, all of our locations remain open. We’re still searching for other creative ways to convene. To that end, we’re repurposing our Open House scheduled for March 14 and instead, we’re hosting a Virtual Tour of our new global headquarters. I’ll be answering questions via livestream and sharing more.

What Red Bay Coffee is Doing

  • No Refillable Drinkware. We will temporarily not be accepting refillable drinkware from customers and apologize for this inconvenience.

  • Sanitizing & Hand Washing. POS system screens, cafe tables, equipment, and other frequently touched surfaces and objects are being routinely cleaned and sanitized. Hand sanitizing stations are provided at all of our locations dependent on stock availability. Employees have been educated on proper hand-washing techniques and frequency

  • Barista Service. We are temporarily removing self-service condiment and utensil stations. Our Baristas are providing these to customers upon request

  • Protective Masks & Gloves. Our Production and Roasting teams are equipped with and utilizing protective masks and gloves.

  • Resting Up. We are asking our team members and customers to stay home if they have symptoms of the flu or feel signs of illness.

  • Beautiful Coffee Wherever You Are. We will waive all shipping fees for orders to your home or office when placed online - http://redbaycoffee.com.

What You Can Do

  • Practice Good Hygiene. Wash your hands frequently. Cover your nose and mouth if you have to sneeze or cough. And use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content. Here are some preventative measures you can take outside of our establishments to protect yourself - cdc.gov.

  • Stay Connected and Stay Informed. The CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO) are updating their sites with the latest information. Please don’t let isolation and fear stop you from building and maintaining healthy connections. Stay in healthy conversations with your community. If you have any additional questions, please reach out anytime or visit our online resources.

  • Continue To Support. Small Businesses and Certified B Corporations are working hard to keep us all healthy.
