Red Bay Coffee is inspired by the many talented people we are surrounded by in Oakland. Our Great Grinds Campaign proudly features people we admire for their commitment and grind to their craft.
Rachel Wolfe-Goldsmith is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland, California, who has dedicated her career to creating art that challenges and inspires. She is a muralist, curator, creative director, and venue owner, and her work is focused on liberation and shifting perspectives whether through the visual art she creates, or the events and experiences she curates.
Influenced by her upbringing immersed in the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and her adult years spent in the Oakland creative underground have influenced a style that could be described as futuristic, figurative, and abstract, often featuring images of friends or modern-day change makers alongside geometries, loose brush strokes, architectural elements, or visions of the natural world. She aims to challenge tired tropes and expand the perception of being human, particularly melanated people.
Her venue, Wolfe Pack Studios, is a creative clubhouse for those pushing the boundaries of art and thinking outside the box. Rachel can be found there working on projects or hosting events ranging from art workshops, art and technology classes, and comedy shows. It is a space where artists, musicians, and creatives of all kinds can connect, collaborate, and showcase their work.
Rachel's passion for self-expression shines through in her art, and she consistently works to find ways to collaborate and create, pushing the boundaries of what art can do.
No doubt Rachel is someone to look out for in the future. If you want to know more about Rachel Wolfe-Goldsmith follow her on Instagram @rachelwolfepack
